West Valley girls, West Anchorage boys win D1 titles By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor Sophomore Kendall Kramer of West Valley (Fairbanks) led her team to the ASAA Division 1 cross country title with her individual win in 18 :07 at Bartlett Trails. Alaska moved from three "classifications" to two "divisions" this year. The West Valley girls put six in the top 22 on the way to its victory. The fastest boys race came in Division 2. Senior Jacob Moos of Galena ran 15:33 to beat Blake Bennett of Anchorage Christian. Moos and Bennett were the only runners to run under 16 minutes. Bennett's team went 2-3-10 on the way to a 60-67 victory over Homer. In the Division 1 boys race, senior TJ Donaldson of West Valley claimed a seven-second victory in 16:07. Sophomore Santiago Prosser of Dimond was second. West Anchorage went 4-5-6-9 on the way to 39 points and the team championship. In the Division 2 girls race, Autumn Daigle of Homer ran 19:30 to win the race. Grace Christian won an extremely tight team race with 57 points. Homer and Seward both scored 58 points. Homer took second place by virtue of its sixth-place finisher taking 39th to 51st for Seward's sixth.
